This repair guide compares very favorably to the Haynes guides that I typically purchase to help with maintenance and repairs to the various used cars I have purchased over the years. This book includes a quick reference guide to all of the Suzuki S50/Intruders consumables including oils, spark plugs, gaps, tires (size and psi) etc. It also includes an introduction to all of the various tools that the procedures require and is written in a style that presumes you are an amateur. This book is thick (444 pages) and comprehensive covering simple maintenance to complex repairs and rebuilds. Much like the Haynes guides, this book also includes wiring diagrams to allow for your own electrical troubleshooting. While pro mechanics will probably want to buy the official Suzuki repair manual that costs three times as much, this is the book for everyone else who is interested in doing their own maintenance. Even if you are not mechanically inclined, owning and reading the repair guide to your bike helps immeasurably in explaining problems to your mechanic and in understanding what your mechanic is planning to do. As a final note, if you purchased your bike used without a user's guide, this book covers the maintenance intervals and consumables in a comprehensive enough manner that you can probably go without purchasing a new user's guide from Suzuki.
Could not have retrieved the front carb jet from the front cylinder without this guide. Enabled me to get into the top end, pull out the jet, put it back together and it still ran! I previously had some mechanical ability but would not have tackled this job on my own. With this manual, however, got the job done without giving the local repair shop $800-$1000 to fix my stupid mistake.

As is usual with Clymer manuals, I found this to be very instructive and provides me with all the necessary data to maintain and repair my bike.I am confident that with my mechanical abilities and the expert information in this manual, I will be able to keep my bike in top condition.
Very nice, well packaged and has that brand new book smell that I/you/we like. Better than the PDF version on Google because the pictures are actually visiable and make a big difference between doing something right and doing something wrong. Happy wrenching!
