My daughters and I enjoyed this book. The rhyming works very well and the pictures are cute and not scary for kids. The book can be very helpful for children who are scared to go to sleep at night. Monsters aren't scary, they are friendly!One thing that did confuse me in the book was the placement of the quotation marks. Some quotes had no end and it did make it difficult for me to determine which person was speaking, so I stumbled a little while reading this aloud to my kids. It probably had to do with the fact that speaking parts did not end between pages and had to continue onto the next page or paragraph.Overall, we enjoyed this book and would recommend it to kids around ages 3-6.I happened to find this book on Amazon when it was available for a free download and we wanted to share our review.Jessica D. Bobby and the Monsters by Marie Blair was a fun and adorable story with cool monsters. This picture book had great illustrations to go along with the rhyming tale of a mother comforting Bobby’s fear about monsters. It was like a nicer version of Where the Wild Things Are. All around a fun read great for anyone with kiddos!
My son is 4, and we recently faced the problem that he is afraid to sleep alone in his room. We looked for different ways to convince him that he had nothing to fear, but he was firmly convinced that he hears suspicious sounds in the dark. After reading this book, he calmed down a bit, because now he knows that it is Rocky Plum. It is his favorite monster:)
Such a cute and charming children book! Great rhymes, funny pictures. I especially loved the monster who stole socks — every parent now and then finds herself in a situation when literally ALL child’s socks belong to different pairs. Looks like a nice go-to-bed book!
It is an exciting book for children. Many kids have fears of monsters. The book shows what might be funny monsters. The book has excellent illustrations. The main thing for me is that the pictures are not terrible, and it's nice to watch the book for children. Drawings are beautiful and lovely. Nice to read the text. I liked it. I recommend everyone.
That was a book for my 4yo son and he loved it! The books helps kids to fight their “night monstersâ€, characters are cute and the story is adorable. As a bonus you have a game “find matching socks†and a page to color your monsters.
