This is a must read for any Cardinals fan! A great collection of stories from the moments and players you love, but with a perspective that you have never heard before. Any baseball fan will enjoy the stories that Benjamin has pulled together that show the human and emotional side of the game we love so much.
The book itself is wonderful. It's nice to have an author that is around our age and seeing the Cardinals through our eyes. The packaging, however, was not great. It came with another item and the book cover is bent pretty badly. They could do better in that aspect.
I heard an interview with the author on the Cardinals podcast and was intrigued. This is a really well written book by one of us - a fan. I loved the stories based on interviews with legends and the knowledge that comes from someone who has followed the team his entire life. Well worth the money!
We bought this as a gift for a friend who loves the Cardinals. And he loved this book.
Really a great book; not only for Cardinal fans, but for "true" baseball enthusiasts. Ben Hochman has captured the spirit and uniqueness of a great baseball tradition for a great baseball city.
