I haven't finished the book by any means but in skimming through the book (kindle for the PC version) I find the quality of some of the equations to be quite awful. They are small and hard to read and often look smudged. I find this poor quality unacceptable considering the many software solutions available that can improve the graphical rendering of equations.
An awesome volume! Contains seemingly everything a serious student of calculus could want. However it could use a section on the Integral.

Stan always writes great books
I bought this for my son and really didn't get much out of it. He really got alot more out of Kahnaccademy.com
The coverage of Trigonometry is really weak. Trig preps you for Calculus. It's also the basis for many of the sciences: chemistry, physics... I wish I could return an e-book.
The content of this book seems very different from whats in my text book. After skimming through this book, i feel even more lost. None of the material in this book looks familiar. I had to purchase "Schaums outline for precal"..I feel more at home with that one.Maybe there is more than one way to teach precalc, just be very careful when purchasing this one. To give you an idea as to what i'm talking about; Almost all chapters mention "Cartesian" "Vectors" and "Polar" I dont see any mention of functions or inverse functions, which is what my course (and most updated textbook) is emphasizing on.This seems more like calculas than precalc. I digress.I would not recommend this product.
I was primarily interested in reading Stan's Calculus Know It All but I thought I'd better make sure I was ready for it, and this book was perfect in that department. I knew a lot of this material, but the book brought it all together for me. Stan's always fresh and vivid writing makes this kind of detailed subject very accessible, and as a result I have some new understanding in areas that I knew about, but hadn't quite mastered. Therefore, I recommend the book very highly. When you are done, go through Stan's Amazon listings and you will be amazed at his broad reach -- everything from black holes to microchips, its really amazing. And all very clearly written.
